Nepal lost to New Zealand in U-19 World Cup

Kathmandu. Nepal lost to New Zealand by 64 runs in their first match of the group stage of the ICC U-19 World Cup cricket tournament. Chasing the target of 303 runs presented by New Zealand, Nepal managed to score only 238 runs in the match on Sunday in East London, South Africa. Although Arjun Kumal contributed the most 90 runs for Nepal, it was not enough for victory. He played 104 balls and hit 12 fours. Also, captain Dev Khanal contributed 36 runs, Subhash Bhandari 33 and Tilak Bhandari 17 runs. For New Zealand, Mason Clarke took three wickets, while Ewald Schroeder and Oscar Jackson took two wickets each. Matt Rowe and Jack Cumming took wickets apiece. New Zealand, who won the toss and batted first, made a strong total of three hundred and two runs at the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
