Nepal’s air pollution is worse than ever, Experts request to take health precautions

Kathmandu: The condition of air pollution in Kathmandu valley has been very unhealthy for a week. According to IQ Air’s measurements on Sunday morning, Kathmandu Valley is the second most polluted city in the world.

Currently, Kathmandu Valley’s Air Quality Index (AQI) is 211. According to the Air Quality Index, it is considered very unhealthy. Delhi ranks first in air pollution in India. Where AQI is 290. Similarly, Lahore, Pakistan, which is ranked third, has an AQI of 199.

Air pollution has become high due to the lack of rain for a long time and due to the fires and smoke in various forests of Nepal, dust has piled up in the sky of Kathmandu. According to World Health Organization standards, the air quality index for human health ranges from 0 to 50, which is considered good for health.

The Ministry of Health and Experts has requested to be cautious to avoid this situation as the air in Kathmandu Valley is dangerous. Also, it has been requested not to leave the house unnecessarily and to use a mask if you have to go out.
