11th Kinder Olympics from Saturday

Kathmandu. The 11th Kinder Olympics 2080 is going to start from Saturday, January 6. Organized by the Early Childhood Education Teachers Association (Ekta) every year, this competition will be held from January 6th to 13th at the Dasharath Stadium. This time, 36 schools within the Kathmandu valley will participate, said Ekta's president Bina Sharma at a press conference held on Thursday. In the program, 1700 students between the ages of 3 to 6 years will participate in various sports events, said the coordinator of the competition, Kedarman Satal. It includes athletics including judo, karate, wushu, taekwondo. The slogan of the event, which engages students in the field of sports from an early age, is 'participation is more important than victory'. Ekta president Sharma said – 'Participation in Kinder Olympics is big. Our aim is to bring the little ones to the stadium. We give medals to all participants. So that everyone feels that participation is more important than winning.' It is said that certificates of Nepal Olympic Committee will be distributed to participating athletes.
