Beijing. 13 students died in a fire in a school in China. Thirteen students died in a fire at a boarding school dormitory in central China. According to Chinese media, a student was injured in a fire at Yingkai School in Yanshanpu Village, Henan Province. It is said that the injured are primary school 3rd class students. Hebei Daily reports that all of them are nine and 10-year-old students studying in the same class. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which started at 11pm on Friday. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and the head of the school has been detained. China National Radio said it published images showing some windows of the school's dormitory building broken and police cordoning off the nearby area. The incident took place in Yansapu village on the outskirts of Nanyang, a city with a population of around 10 million.
