Laliguras in the semi-finals in basketball

Kathmandu. Laligurans National Academy has entered the semi-finals of the 7th Ops Sports Festival in boys basketball on Thursday. In the tournament organized by the Organization of Private Schools (OPS), Laligurans defeated Vibhuti 31-14 to become the first team to reach the semi-finals. Sujan Magar of Laliguras added 8 points. Pushpakunj, Seb, Himarshmi, Angel's Heart, Newton and Pragati made their way to the quarterfinals of the boys' competition being held at the court of Himarshmi School in Dandagaon. Pabson Central Vice President Thakin Kumar Gurung inaugurated the competition during a program. According to Lokendra Bahadur Khadka, president of OPS, 13 teams in boys and 10 teams in girls are participating. The festival includes 5 different sports Football, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Athletics. The official opening of the festival will be held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Sunday. Himarshmi has won the girls' football title under Ops Sports Festival. Himarashmi defeated Kaushal 1-0 in the final at Tusal Football Ground. Himarshmi's Namrata Gautam scored the decisive goal. 8 teams participated in female football.
