16 people died when a boat carrying students and teachers went on a picnic

According to an Indian news agency, a boat carrying teachers and students who went on a picnic capsized in Harni Lake in Gujarat. 23 students and four teachers were on board this boat. So far, the death toll from the boat accident has reached 16, police said. 8 others have been rescued. Four people are still missing in the boat accident and their search and rescue work is ongoing. It has been revealed that this incident happened because there were more passengers than the capacity of the boat. According to the news, the capacity of the boat was 14 people but there were more than 27 people on board. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. All the students were from a school in Vadodara. The student who was seriously injured in the accident was taken to the hospital. More than 10 ambulances reached the spot. After getting information about the incident, the rescue team reached there.
