Four people, including Bhattarai, were elected as directors of Lakshmi Sunrise Bank

Kathmandu. Four people including Manoj Kumar Bhattarai have been elected as directors of Lakshmi Sunrise Bank. Bhattarai was elected director at the 23rd annual general meeting of the bank held on 26th of January. He was elected as a director on behalf of the bank's founding shareholders. Bhattarai is a personality with 3 and a half decades of experience in banking and insurance. He led the successful management of Nepal Life Insurance and then Prime Life Insurance as the Chief Executive Officer. The general meeting has elected Raman Nepal as director on behalf of the founder shareholders. On behalf of the general shareholders, Swati Rungta and Dinesh Paudyal have been elected directors. The meeting of the newly elected board of directors held on the same day appointed Raman Nepal as the chairman of the board of directors of the company. The general meeting passed the report of the board of directors and the financial statement of the financial year 2079/80. A proposal to give 7 percent bonus shares to the shareholders from the accumulated profits up to the financial year 2079/80 has also been passed by the general meeting.
